Who is the highest level player on World of Warcraft?

Anyways, yeah, the first answerer was right, the level cap is 80, so technically there’s no higher level (except for NPC’s, of course…)

Well, that all depends on which version of WoW you’re playing. Original WoW has a level cap of 60, Burning Crusade expansion has a cap of 70, and the newest Wrath of the Lich King expansion has a level cap of 80. Hope that helps!

Most players are level 80. The game doesn’t start until you are level 80. Getting there can be done in less time than it takes to beat super mario bros. on nintendo… so as for people saying it takes no life to get there, how much time did you spend watching TV last week? The maximum level is 80. The first person got that something like 26 hours after the Lich King expansion came out last November. There are hundreds of people on each server at max level now. The guild I’m in, for example, has 134 chars at level 80. There’s no way to get any higher until Blizzard raises the cap, at which point everyone will level from 80 to the new cap.

I personally have 4 toons that are lvl 80 and 3 that are lvl 76.
When u are logged in, type
/who 80
in the chat window and u will see all the 80’s.

Has any player “actually” reached level 80? Yeah, but only a few hundred thousand of them. You’ve been playing for a while and you haven’t noticed that? Do you actually LOOK at other characters ever?

LOL FRANKLIN V IS RIGHT!!! Lol I just remembered that fat dude on southpark, anyways, NPC’s can get past level 80 and on private servers you can level up to 255 and it is a legend that GM’s can also be level 255.

Hello,
How are you doing? What class do you play? Which side? Horde or Alliance?
I have a level 80 Alliance warrior and a level 80 Horde mage.
This is not impressive and there are many people who have many level 80 characters, some people even have more then one account!
When I first hit 80, I thought that was it and the game was over. I was wrong. There is a whole different side of the game after you hit 80. You can go in two directions. You can raid. And you can play against other people (pvp).
I have also found, that the social aspect of the game is magnified after 80. You see, when you are trying to level; unless you are playing with a good friend, you tend to stay by yourself. Solo would be the term for it.
Like when I was leveling, I would only be in a group with someone just long enough to finish this or that quest. Maybe 5 minutes?
When you hit 80, there are more opportunities to actually spend some time with different people. Either doing heroic instances, or raiding.
Furthermore, the equipment and gear you get when you raid or do instances is a lot different, and a lot better then the green items and blue items that you receive as quest rewards. You get PURPLE items!
A level 80 in blue’s and greens will not do more damage then a level 80 in purples by the simple fact that the gear is just flat out better. It is the equivalent of being level 85 or higher.
If you have ever heard of the add-on called recount. There is this term called “dps”. (damage per second).
A level 80 in greens and blues can MAYBE do about 1500 damage per second. A level 80 in purple items can do 2000, 3000, or more damage per second!
My point in all this is that not all level 80’s are alike and there really is not anything special about being level 80.
